About Me

My name is Janet Capone, and I’ve had dogs in my life, well, forever. To say “I love dogs” doesn’t really explain it!  I’ve been helping people by caring for their dogs in my home for many, many years and am more than happy to provide references to you if you’d like. Sometimes speaking to others who have left their dogs with me can make you feel more comfortable about doing the same.

I have a strong medical background: I began as a paramedic  working on an ambulance and am now a trauma nurse in one of our local hospitals.  Also, I am a certified K9 tactical medic and teach K9 CPR and First Aid.  Your dog will be in very safe hands! Also, because of all of my training, I am completely comfortable taking care of those dogs who have special needs: diabetic, need medications administered, etc!

Additionally, I have competent assistants who are trained in veterinary medication administration and work together with me as a caring team to help look after your dog!

I’m a “dog person” through and through – I know dogs well, understand their body language, and am very adept at responding to their needs.  I’m told by clients that their dogs love to visit here – they get excited when they pull up because they know they’re back at “camp”!
